Controls worth learning before the first boss
Movement is W A S D. Shift sprints. Space jumps. Control toggles shift-lock. E interacts, harvests, mines, and turns quests in. M1 is the basic attack. Dodge pulls you out of combos against players and bosses. The broom is H.
Guns are different: click to aim, click again to fire. Extra gun keybinds were called pointless by one reviewer because of that two-click shot.
The first boss you can plan
Defeat the Chain Bandit opens around level 20, picked up about 1,200 meters along the road to the Grimoire Tower. The boss is the chain-wielding Salik. He is not standing there permanently. A visible countdown gates the spawn. Recorded waits were about 30 seconds, about a minute, and about two to three minutes after a kill. Use the timer on screen.
His defense can be broken, and his skills can be perfect-blocked. The sword swings are fast enough to kill an underprepared player. Nearest-spawn sends you to the closest crystal if you die.
Documented drops, without published rates, are a normal chest, the Salic cloak, the Salic outfit, an iron scythe, iron shackles, shine fragments, and Chain Hand. Every recorded kill dropped at least a normal chest and advanced the quest. Chest contents change. Shine fragments were guessed to relate to grimoires. That guess was labeled as a guess.
Later bosses that are actually named
The Macawolf quest sends you to the King of the Wolves. The recorded run beat it at the quest destination. No drop table was shown.
Magna is the last fight in that same recorded progression, at level 100, with an awakening turned on. No drop table was shown.
Earth Bandit Boss is known because the Earth Mage Boss Outfit drops from it. The Earth Mage Outfit also drops from the regular Earth Bandit. No spawn point is documented.
A second, more specific seven-boss chart names Chain Bandit, Earth Bandit Boss, Mana Wolf, Zora, Fire Mage Boss, Heath Grice, and Magna Swing with levels from 20 to 80 and hit points from 2,250 to 9,750, plus drop percents. That chart conflicts with the boss pass above, which could not confirm locations or rates for a roster that large. Do not farm Zora or Heath Grice from those numbers until you see the boss in your own session.
Race rerolls and Big Chests are confirmed as boss rewards with no named owner. Any boss might pay them. They are not a reason to pick one spawn.
Treasure-map boss
Some bosses drop a treasure map. Stronger bosses drop better maps, from rare to legendary. Using a map marks a guarded chest. Clear the guards, then the chest puzzle starts. A huge boss can appear and, if you beat it, the chest rarity goes up. The blacksmith sells an item that forces that boss and another that skips the puzzle. Anti-Magic skips the puzzle by attacking the chest.
Weapons you can use on the way
The Wooden Sword is a merchant buy around 200 to 212 Yuls and has no special moves. The Bandit Dagger is a rare Road Bandit drop around the level 20 quests, with Rapid Slash and Dagger Teleport, and it scales with Sword. The Iron Scythe is the Chain Bandit drop and had no moves in the showcase build. The Stone Sword is crafted and was M1 only. Pistol-type guns are the long-range option. The source is unpublished. Shotgun-type guns are crafted and hit hard up close in one test. One showcase said a gun could fire across the map, and the reviewer treated that range as something a later update would change.
Magic Squads are the group option for boss fights. Published notes do not define required roles, so bring a book you have already tested and a spawn crystal set nearby.
